Jacqui is currently focused on editing the draft of a full length narrative history book. Set on the colonial frontier between 1838 and 1841, this work draws on a decade of archival research, and reflects a lifetime of travels through the landscapes of her beloved north-east Victoria.
Other forthcoming publications are TBA.
Over winter 2026, she will be adding some front chapters to Rachael Croucher’s wonderful oral history, Settlement of a Victorian Tableland — The history of Whitlands, its people and their memories (2012). Whitlands is a magnificent sub-alpine plateau in the upper King Valley.
Also this winter Jacqui has been working as the consulting historian on the Taungurung displays for the new Mansfield Heritage Museum, with Taungurung elder, senior curator Angela Tenbuuren. The new Museum is opening at the end of the year, and will be a great excuse to visit the gorgeous town of Mansfield… before taking a drive up to the Whitlands Plateau, of course.
